Scanning uninstalls my TCP/IP Network Transport. What can I do?

I've scanned twice and after each scan, I am unable to browse the web. An
error message states that theTCP/IP Network transport is not installed. Wha
can I do to prevent this from happening again?

Rebuild the Winsock LSP chain next time you receive the message or if you
still cannot access the Internet,

If you have XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) follow these steps:

1.
Log on as an administrator.

2.
Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.

3.
At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:

netsh Winsock reset

When the program is finished, restart the machine in order to complete the
reset.

if you are running Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1
(SP1), or Microsoft Windows 2000, follow the solution in the support link
below:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817571/

You receive an "An operation was attempted on something that is not a
socket" error message when you try to connect to a network

Let us know if you still have problems
