Scanner problems

I installed an Epson CX5400 and I cannot scan anything - error I get is to
please install the supported Twain Drivers.
I downloaded drivers from Epson site but still keep getting this error.
Any ideas?

Hi: Thanks
I uninstalled printer/scanner - per epson directions, reinstalled then
connected to computer.
found driver updates after and installed with printer connected.
disconnected printer and redownloaded drivers and reconnected - same
problem.
I am thinking of starting from the uninstall again - and not reconnecting
until after the drivers are in again - and see what happens - maybe it is
very fussy about the order\
will try later
