Scanner not working correctly

How's everybody doing? Happy New Year. I have a Hewlett Packard psc 2110
All-In-One (Copy, print & scanner) that keeps giving me internet explorer
errors everytime I want to scan pictures. I've had the scanner for 2 years
and this just started happening a couple of days ago. The window for the HP
scanning & image editor comes up as usual but with no icons & fonts; so I
can't make a selection. I have no idea what to do about it. I've
uninstalled & re-installed 3 times. Please help me.

Here's the specs:

Dell Dimension 4500 running XP with SP1, Pentium 4, 1.8 Ghz with 256 Ram
(Yes, I know I need more RAM)
I'm using IE6; running Spybot & Ad-Aware

the error is Line 216 / Char 7 The error line says "Object Required"

Have you checked for a newer driver?

It is always best to completely uninstall your software and then re-install. HP has a
software clean up utility on the same page as the drivers.
