Thier is no scanndisk in xp
You can only use the CHKDSK utility to perform various functions,an
those must be done outside of explorer.Try going to run,type:cm
At the curser type:CHKDSK /? For the menu,type:CHKDSK C: /
for the utility to run on reboot.
