When I use scan disk for disk C:, the scan goes through
until the end of phase 2 then a message appear with
following "Cannot scan drive" press OK.
Nothing could be found in the event viewer.
Would appreciate if anyone can tell me where can look for
a debug of this problem?

Hi Rida,

Start/run cmd

Run chkdsk C: /r

If this is the system drive, you will be prompted to schedule the disk check
to be done on system reboot. You cannot dismount the drive to run this check
while it is in use (while Windows is running).

Maybe the probllem is that Scandisk doesn't exist in XP?

Now if you are talking about chkdsk...

Hi,
there is no scandisk in XP.Try Chkdsk,it corrects disk errors only if
you specify the /f command-line option.
