Scandisk/Defrag

What is the problem when scan disk will not run, just keeps starting over,
and over, and then when going to defrag. it won't run either. It never gets
past the starting point. This is on Windows ME. I couldn't find a ME help
group. Sorry.
 
Agreed. You probably have some background programs running in normal
mode that are interferring with the defrag.

Also I'd like to suggest upgrading to Windows 98SE....if you can't
upgrade to 2000/XP. :)
