I Wonder if I will set The Defender to scan my computer let's say at nights
an my pc at that time is off,will defender scan the hard disk anyway even if
computer is turned off?

The simple answer is No.

No, it won't. If your machine was on standby, it might wake it and scan--I
haven't checked the settings of the actual job to be sure.

However, if it misses a scan, it should start it 10 minutes after the next
login, I believe. These scans are background activity--so if it is a
quickscan, you might not even notice it. A fullscan would probably be both
noticable and annoying.
