With the software that came with your scanner. While later versions of Word
have some capability along this line, real OCR software is much better. Look
in your Word help for information on Microsoft Office Document Imaging.

Check out Abbyy's FineReader OCR program. There's a trial version
that you can DL and use for a little while.
