SB disconnect icon

How can I get the USB disconnect icon to appear on the tool bar?
I am using XP Pro

What do you have plugged into your USB ports?

Do you have a small less than (or double less than) sign to the left of your
clock (if your taskbar is situated at the bottom of your screen...)? If
so - click on it.

There is no icon on the toolbar, even when expanded.

I have a printer, a camera cord, and a ipod cord. I occasionally have a
scanner
plugged in also.
 
Connect a device requiring a safe disconnect.

Only USB devices that show up as a removable drive, with a drive
letter, will get the "Safe to remove hardware" icon. Printers do not
show up unless they have memory card readers.
