savings handouts as a file

I would like to send just the handouts (3 per page) as an attachment. I tried
clicking File, Print, select the correct handout format, then check print to
file, and save as a .prn file. When I tried to open the file (several ways)
it could not be opened.

Can you tell me the correct steps? I am currently using PPT 2002

Yes, I saved the file as a .doc instead of .prn (default), but Word was not
able to open.

 

[Echo S]

You can't just save the file as a *.DOC file -- you have to use File | Send
to Word and then save the file in Word.
