Saving Word doc

I went to send a .doc file via Outlook. As I sent it, it ask if I wanted to
save. I said yes. Now my document is saved with the email data at the top of
the file. How do I open this doc and save without the email data. I should
have sent as attachment, but I made a mistake. Now I need to fix. Thanks in
advance for your help
 
Click the E-mail button on the Standard toolbar or use File | Send To | Mail
Recipient to turn off the mail header.
