Saving Word Doc as PDF

When attempting to save a Word Doc as a PDF file, I'm not presented with the
PDF option in the pull down bar under SAVE AS. Instead I'm offered an array
of choices such as Web Page, Web Archive, Doc template, Rich Text Format and
on and on...no PDF option! How do I save as a PDF file?

What version of Word are you using? Prior to Word 2007 there was no built-in
PDF functionality and for Word 2007 you need to install the PDF add-in
before you can use the PDF format. (MS lost the lawsuit filed by Adobe and
wasn't allowed to add PDF functionality out of the box in Office 2007.)
Here's a link to the download:

You need a third-party utility. Well...you can write your own PDF procedure
but that isn't a simple task. ;-)

There are numerous available, many for free. One I've used in the past was
CutePDF Writer http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp but there
are others available.
