Fully patched 6 under windows xp home.

Why does it ask if I want windows to save my passwords and user name on some
sites that I need to use them to access the site but on other sites where I
would like to use this feature I am not asked and need to enter this
information everytime I visit the site?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

BoB,

this is a question on Internet Explorer. Perhaps you want to
repost it in a newsgroup that deals particularly with IE.

I guess you can't do much about the password problem. Some web
sites use scripting to generate and evaluate the password
question, and so IE cannot remember which page this is, because
it looks like a new page every time. In that case you have to
re-enter the password.

Thanks for the re-direct and sorry for the wrong group posting.

I think the information that you gave me is the answer.
