Saving to CD

I can successfully save my movies to CD and they play on
Windows Media Player but they will not play on my DVD
player. Can someone advise my what I am doing wrong.
 
Check the extension of your movie, f.e. AVI,DivAx,mpg, et
Probably your DVD-reader does'nt support this format
