saving settings

I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem?
When a user signs out of windows 2000 a dialog box pops up
saying saving settings. On some of our users accounts
when they sign out it takes about 5 minutes for windows to
complete this process. I am wondering if there is a way
to shorten this time? For most of our users it only takes
about 20 seconds for windows 2000 to save the settings.
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance for the help

goto

Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs > Change/Remove Programs

and see if Q329170 is listed as an update if it is remove it.

plus

start > run > gpedit.msc > Computer Configuration> Administrative
Template
System > Logon > Maximum retries to unload and update user profile ...
set
enabled and to say 5 ... default if not configured is 60!!

There appears to be a hotfix available from MS (thanks Neo)

but you will have to telephone MS to order it.

sound right being singular, and I'd have to leave meself out. LOL
