Saving scanned page to My Documents

I have HP 1300 series printer/scanner. How do I save a one page document I
received in the mail to My Documents
 
Your printer has nothing to do with it unless you mean you received a paper
copy via snail mail.
 
You will need OCR software to convert a scanned document to editable text,
or simply scan it as a graphic.
