Saving Pages

I've been using FP 2003 to develop and maintain several sites. Recently when
saving pages on one of the sites, even if it's only a sentence, it takes a
really long time to save. Sometimes 10 minutes. No problem with the other
sites.

I'm sorry but when I posted I chose to post in microsoft.public.frontpage, is
that wrong? Also, every question below mine is a front page question.

Hmm. Mary Ann, your message headers clearly indicate that your post was
sent to <microsoft.public.access>, which is the group where I'm reading
your message. Maybe the web interface is messed up in some way. I've
sent a message to Microsoft to see if they can figure out what's wrong.

In the mean time, Mary Ann, could you say *how* you got to the web page
you're posting from, and what its URL is? There are several different
web addresses at which the newsgroups are presented, and several
different ways to get there. When I go via the link I usually use,
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx , I don't even see
any group that is just named "microsoft.public.frontpage". All the
groups I see have a further qualifier on the end; the "General
Questions" item in the list is routed to
<microsoft.public.frontpage.client>.

I wonder if the particular web page you're posting from is outdated, and
somehow posts made to no-longer-supported groups are being dumped in
<microsoft.public.access>.

Mary Ann, it sounds like there may be a bug in Microsoft's web
interface. This message IS coming up in the Access newsgroup, not in
the Frontpage newsgroup. Could you help diagnose it, by posting the
steps that you took to get here? What is the web address? Which
Frontpage group are you selecting? What do you actually see on the
screen? Are you using Internet Explorer or some other web browser?

I don't know the answer to your question, and I suspect that the folks
over on the Frontpage groups will be able to answer out of hand... but
not if they can't see the question!

First time using this so, I could have made a mistake but here it is....I'm
using internet explorer, went to Microsoft.com then communities, news groups,
in search box typed "front page", selected microsoft.public.frontpage,
clicked new question, filled out the form and hit "post". Something came up
asking if I wanted email sent to me or something like that, I clicked cancel
then the page opened and several min. later my question was posted. I can
copy and paste the page (that I'm looking at) and email it to you, if that
would help?

Hmm. Do me a favor an e-mail me a screenshot of that page. Don't post
it in the newsgroup, as binary attachments are frowned on in the Access
groups, but e-mail it to the address you get by removing NO SPAM from
the reply-address of this message. If you can't find that address, you
can get my e-mail address from my web site, which is listed in my sig.
