I want to save files from Outlook Express but it asks me to "export" them to
Outlook.

I upgraded to Office 2007 but without Outlook and now I can't reinstall
Outlook 2000 from the original Office 2000 Premium genuine CD. Is there
another way to proceed to save these Otlook Express files?

As far as I know, I don't have either Microsoft Exchange.

Outlook Express is not related to Outlook. The successor of Outlook Express
on Vista is Windows Mail.
You are in the wrong newsgroup for both ;-)

If you're using Vista, it doesn't support Office or Outlook 2000. It also
doesn't use Outlook Express but Windows Mail.

If you are still using Outlook Express on another operating system, post to
the OE newsgorup. When you do, please post more precise information such as
your version of OE and O/S, etc.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/dgbrowser/en-us/default.mspx (choose
your version of OE from here)
