Saving Modifications to a style sheet

After I have made modifications to the style sheet. I hit
Save to save the Web Page. After I hit save, FP2000
Crashes. I get a C+++ Runtime Error.

FRONTPG.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate
in an unusual way.

I have added all the updates and cannot fix.

Any ideas?

This is a known issue with no fix - try editing the stylesheet with Notepad
or a program like TopStyle: http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/ or upgrade to
FrontPage 2002 (or 2003).

seeing an external style sheet is a text file, can't you modify it in notepad?

I missed the rest of the thread, so my apologies if I repeat something
that's already been said.

If you're using FP2000 and Windows XP, there is a known issue with it
crashing when trying to save .css files. Based on your description, I think
this is what you're running into.

The only way around it is to configure FP to use an external editor, such as
Notepad or TopStyle for .css files.
