FP 2000 Runtime Failure on Style Sheet File Save

P

Paul Brewer

I don't seem to be able to create and save a .css style
sheet. Every time I try to save a css, FP2000 comes up
with a runtime error ("The application has requested the
Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.") This is then
followed by a memory read error. I even followed exactly
the process in the knowledge base article "How To: Create
a Style Sheet". Has anyone seen this behavior? Thanks.

Hi Paul. This is a bug in FrontPage that has been put in for correction in
the next service pack (date unknown). For now the workaround is to open
your CSS files in Notepad, not FrontPage.

If you do a lot of css editing, then you might try Topstyle. The Lite
version is free, but in my humble opinion, the Pro edition is worth the
price (and it's not very much).

Thanks very much, Kathleen. I will try this out. Thanks
also to David Berry and Wally.
