Saving into 97 from 2000

Hi,

I have a 97 version of an access database that needs a new field added.
The problem is that I am now running office 2003 and because this is for
someone else I need to keep it in 97. If I load this database on my machine
can I save it back in 97 to restore it to my friend?

As long as you don't make changes which cannot be resolved in earlier
versions (like conditional formatting), you should have no problem. Use:
Tools ... Database Utilities ... Convert Database
