Saving file causes Excel to crash

L

Lisa

When one of our users tries to save a file, he gets
an 'Excel has generated errors and will shut down by
Windows' message. Any changes are not saved. The problem
is not on every file, and not every time, and I've been
unable to replicate the problem on my machine. I did
notice that he had 2 workbooks open at the same time, but
since the problem is intermittent, can't say for sure that
has anything to do with it.

Any ideas?

We are having the same problems too. We recently switched
our file server from WinNT to W2003 Server and when the
users try to save a file, the computer either locks up or
they get an error message stating that the data cannot be
saved. If you have any insight as to what the problem may
be, please let me know. We are having this problem with
both Excel 97 and Excel XP. My email address is

Thanks,

Steve
