Saving email to a network share

My problem is that a lot of my users go over the size limit on their
mailboxes and the boss will not allow them any more space. They want to save
their email to their user folder, but still have it searchable. Just cutting
and pasting doesn't allow the search function.

Is there a way to do this?

By the way, using Outlook 2003 with an Exchange 2003 on Windows XP
Professional machines.

Outlook 2003 searching functions are available for personal folders as well.
Though each one has its separate search folder. Another may be to use
Microsoft LookOut program - http://www.lookoutsoft.com/Lookout/

Also to save space on there mailbox looking into an Attachment stripping
tool may also be of a benefit.
