Saving E-mail as Doc File

In Outlook 2003 I cannot save my email message as a Doc file even when using
Word as my e-mail editor. Is there any way to do this since my only option
is to save a message as text, html, msg format.

Save it as .txt, then open it in Word and save it as a Word file.
