saving contacts and folders on hard drive

I need to reinstall Outlook 03. How can I save my
folders and contacts on to my hard drive and then just
put them back into Outlook once I've re installed?

Copy your pst-file to a save location when Outlook is closed. Then after the
reinstall configure Outlook and connect to the pst-file by File Open->
Outlook Data File...

Actually, he just did, but to be more explicit, we'll need your operating
system version as well.

Well actually we don't need to know the OS; it's Outlook 2003 so that has to
be Windows 2000 or Windows XP which both store the pst-file in the same
default location ;-)

The default location of the pst-file is;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Or rigtclick the root of your folderset (probably Outlook Today)->
Properties-> button Advanced-> field Filename
