Saving attachments

When I save attachments using 'Save As', by the time I've navigated to the
folder where I want to save the file, the name of the attachment has been
replaced with the name of a file in the folder I am saving it to.

How do I stop this happening so that the name of the attachment remains

something is causing it to highlight that file - if you are clicking on
folders in the open save dialog, you may be clicking too fast or too many
times. If you always use the same folder, add it to the places bar so I
don't have to navigate so much.

Thanks Diane. The problem was caused by having Windows Explorer using a
single click to open a file (point to select). I've now changed the option to
double click to open. Problem solved

I hate single clicks for that reason :)
