I have window mail with Vista home premium on my desktop...I would like to
save my address book in Window mail and send it to my laptop when I go on the
road..this way both computer would have the latess address book.My laptop has
Otlook 2006 and Window XP.

Can it be done?

The common exchange format (export/import) for address book/contacts
is .csv (Comma Separated Values). So, export from Windows Mail, and
import into the other email programs.

Ok here's my results..it works fine with my basic email addresses however it
does not reflect any changes made in my "Groups"..is there something I'm not
aware of.

Cheers

Unfortunately that's a shortcoming of the CSV exchange format.
It does not convey 'Groups' information.

If you are transferring from a Windows Mail Contacts to another computer
with the same program, you can simply copy the following folder:
C:\Users\YourName\Contacts
That way everything is transferred, including the Groups information.

Thank u for the reply..Question! my laptop has Window XP..will Window Mail
work if I download it on it.
Cheers

Windows Mail won't run on XP, but Windows Live Mail will run on both
XP and Vista.

Absolutely. Windows Live Mail has all the features that WM has.

No, it doesn't. I'll try to write up a comparison for you.
