Saving a Word Doc from an email and losing it

I have opened an email of a word doc and modified it and saved it under the
same name as the email attachement. I can not find it in any directory in the
comp. Did it save? Could it be in a temp file under a temp name? Is there a
recovery through Word for the document.

You should never open Word attachments directly from e-mail - however it
*may* be possible to recover your changes. See
