Saved Word doc. saved as Rich Text

I transferred my Word 2000 document to another computer with Word 2003.
Under "My Documents" it shows up as a Rich Text document.

I can open it with Word, but not through the "My documents" folder.

Could it be Word is not installed on the second machine?

This could be the problem--I'll check this when I go back to work on this
machine!
