save to a floppy disk

I am write a story and putting it an a floppy disk. for some reason i cant
save it to the disk.

You may want to ask your question in a different forum: this one is
for the database program Microsoft Access, not for general computer
questions or for Word.

Please repost in a newsgroup for the program you're using to write the
story (Word? Works? It helps if you name the program and what
version), or in a newsgroup for your version of Windows.
