Hi there,
I've just joined & i am somewhat of a 'learner driver' when it comes to p.c.'s. Tried to put my music onto a floppy disk but when i tried all i kept getting was a message saying "no id address mark found on floppy disk'.
I haven't a clue what it means but can you help me fix it somebody? A few details of my p.c.:

Intel Pentium 4 CPU
256MB
XP Pro Service pack 3
Standard floppy disk

I checked device manager & it came up as working properly. The disk i put in is brand new, 1.44MB.
I do hope it's repairable. Thanx. Nita:confused:

It could be any of the following errors:

Bad drive
Faulty floppy
corrupted driver in the operating system

However I must mention that the floppy disks were never ideal for long term data storage as aging was very swift in the material it was made from.

I suppose you are using an old stock of the floppy?

LOL yeah I had DOH!

When someone says "music" I guess I was being a little closed minded. I don't, well haven't used midi files for probably over a decade
