Save streaming videos

I'm looking for freeware to save streaming videos. In this case, I
specifically need one for WMV files. For example, I would like to save
some of the videos from http://www.boston.com/

Here's an example:
javascript:blush:penWindow('http://boston.mirror-image.com:80/n...o,toolbar=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no')

If I remove the javascript stuff and chop it down to this, is there a
program I can past that in to download it or capture the streaming
video/audio?
http://boston.mirror-image.com:80/newsvideo/winsoftselect/?middle=100804_fans_11p.wmv

I tried Hidownload but didn't have any success.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't see a .wvx file. I searched
my entire hard drive. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you watch the video and then look in your browsers temporary Internet
files or use find it should be there unless you have deleted your temp
files. It should have the colorful circle with an arrowhead icon. In
Windows explorer make sure you have it set to show all files.

That's what I tried - no luck. I only tried it with IE. I'll try it with
Mozilla and see if I have better luck.

sometimes temp files are automatically deleted when the browser is
closed.....depends on YOUR settings...but if you can re-watch the
segment, it should be there as long as browser is open.

Sorry, maybe I should have posted specifically what I did - I already
did this as well. I bumped my IE Temp Internet Files setting up to 100MB
(I usually have it set for 1MB and I also don't use it - Mozilla is my
browser of choice). I watched the video using the Windows Media Player
plugin for IE6 SP2 (running on XP SP2). When it was finished playing, I
left IE open and searched my drive for .wvx files. Nothing. The video
was fairly short so I know it was well under 100MB.

I tried it using the video example provided and it worked here, using
IE. For other video clips you might need to search for *.wmv. You can
even save shockwave files this way(*.swf)....thats Star dot swf
Here's an example, watch > itsmommyskiss[1].swf at
then use find.
