Save steaming audio

Is there a way to save streaming audio (or video)? I seem to remember a
setting somewhere (IE, Real Player...) where you could indicate a desire to
have a copy placed in a temp folder. I am only thinking of a situation
where a site streams audio (not necessarily music) and I would like to save
it so I can listen to it again later. Thanks.
