Save PowerPoint so if opened by someone else, it opens as 'View Sh

Based on various reading, I've tried saving as a .pps, .pptx and more, but
these PowerPoint 2003 files never open up in any way other than the 'normal'
edit mode (it worked perfectly with PowerPoint 2007 (trial).)

I need to send it to people who may not know to look under menu < Slide Show
< View Show > and have no need of anything but to see the presentation.
Help, please.

At least you can tell people to press F5 to start the slideshow

Perhaps your file associations for PPS (and / or PPSX) are messed up.

(Saving as PPTX won't force the file to open in slide show view. But saving
as PPS should...)
