Save Picture As slow in writing to HD

When using Internet Explorer and its Save Picture As command, picture is
saved to hard drive, but is very slow.

Any suggestions to speed up the writing time?

Try deleting your internet temporary files.
In IE6, click on Tools on the top bar and then Internet options.
A window will open, under the General tab, there is a delete button in the
center to delete these files.
If this solves your problem, you can automate the procedure. In the same
window, there is an Advanced tab.
Click on it and scroll down the list to security and click the box "Delete
files when closing browser".
