Save Format

Whenever I try to save a picture from the internet,
the 'save as' box only gives me the option to save the
picture in Bitmap, even if the picture is a jpeg or gif.
Can someone tell me how to fix this? Also, if I just
add .jpg to the filename, it causes problems when I open
the file later.

Ok, that fixed half the problem. Now it's only when I'm
viewing the picture by itself. When I try to save a
picture from a webpage it's ok.

Mike,
First, make sure they are not copyrighted images. That is
very important because I'm a professional outdoor
photographer, and I know how abusive that feels. You
should probably save as a bitmap. Then open the image
with your photo editing software. Most programs will then
allow you to "save as" a .jpg. When you are certain you
have the image as .jpg, you can simply delete the .bmp.
