Save form on Exit

Hi,

I have a Microsoft 2000 word form that needs to be saved twice a day.
This form is used by 80 different people who log on usually one perso
per shift. The form is used by the day shift 0800 hours to 1930 hour
and then by the night shift 2000 hours to 0730 hours the next day bu
it is still part of the first day as our company clock goes. The da
ends 0730 the next day.

So they need to use a clean form from the template every time and i
needs to be saved by date and there is a section field for the employe
number to help identify who wrote the log.

I have been hunting the net for similar examples and code that I coul
apply to this scenario but I have not found any. Could any body poin
me in the right direction, please. I am new to this kind of thing an
help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Noddy999,

Well... Word prompts to save when a document is closed, so you must want
something more complicated than that. One should also note that Word
isn't really so stable that leaving the document open for 12 hours, then
saving it would be "best practice".

May we assume that what you really want/need is a macro that executes
when a new document is opened that will save the document at that point?
Then AutoSave can take care of saving it every n minutes? And the user
can be expected to answer "Yes" when Word prompts about saving on closing
the document?
