Save Custom Color Scheme

Is their a way that I can save a custom color scheme in PowerPoint 2003 so
that it is available to any and all presentations that are created. What I
have done up to this point is create the presentation, select a Format, Slide
Designs. Then I selected the Color Scheme option. Then choose Edit Color
Schemes. I make the changes that I want and then click Add as standard
theme. This works fine for the current presentation, but as soon as a start
a new one the custom color scheme is gone. How can I geminately save a
custom color scheme?

Thanks
Eric

While that did work, but there are still extra steps than just being able to
go to the color scheme and choose what you want.

In past version of PowerPoint weren't you able to add custom color schemes
and save them so they would be available to all presentations? If so why
would the function be taken out?

Thanks again for add-in though.

I don't recall anything like this. I've got everything back to 97 handy,
though. If you can point me in the right direction, I'll be happy to check.

And if the function wasn't there, it can't have been removed. ;-)

If you add new schemes and then save the presentation as a PPT Template, further
presentations based on that template will inherit the schemes automatically.

And if you have an existing presentation, applying the template with your new
color schemes will make the new schemes available.
