How can I save the button settings in my "Internet Options>Connections" in
control panel. Each time I set "never dial" option it always reverts back to
"dial when....not present". I don't want it dialing at any time that I have
not accessed the network.

TIA

Dave

The following article discusses the opposite to what you want, but
it may give you an insight to your problem....

If the Dialup Connection windows opens each time you boot up,
suspect malware/trojans in the works.
Clean out all your temp folders & cookies, next do a scan with the
following
AD-AwareSE
Hijack This
Spybot S&D
Sysclean from Trend Micro
Do all the above from from safe mode

Hi Dave,

A third party program is resetting your dial up connection. Do a complete
inventory of anything that is internet related or which may require a
connection and disable all.

This is known to happen if you are using Norton Anti-Virus with the
Auto-Protect turned on. If this applies to you, turn off the Auto-protect
and set it to scan program files only.
