Save as prepopultae

When saving a document Word will automatically prepopultae the save as file
name with the 1st line of text within the document.

If there are any illegal characters in the 1st line i.e (?,/,!) it'll stop
and only prepopulate up to this character. Is it possible we can turn this
feature off so it will prepopulate these character or is there any other way
around this problem.

Thanks

Prepopultae?

You cannot have illegal characters in a file name. That's why it stops!

I'm with you up to this point, but when you get to;

it gets a little muddy.

The illegality of the characters is dictated by the OS, not by Word.
Allowing the characters to appear in the File Name field of the Save window
would do nothing but mislead the user as the name would still get truncated.
The attempt to use such characters would result in a Windows error message
when the user tried to save.

Am I missin' your point?
