"Save as" freezes when saving pics from internet

Frequently if I try to save a picture from the internet,
it starts to save and then freezes. Sometimes it
eventually "unfreezes" and sometimes I get an error
message that "save as" is not responding. I've checked
for viruses and I've run spyware and things look clean.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

While in IE6, click on Tools on your top bar and then Internet options. A
window will open. Click on the Delete button for temporary internet files.
Then try again to save the file.
