Save a file to CD drive

My cd-rw drive is not rocognized as a recordable drive. I want to be able to
save a file to cd drive. In the drive properties the is no recording tab.
This is the error message I get: Cannot copy in Windows 2000: Files on this
CD-ROM drive are read only. You cannot copy or move files over to this
CD-ROM drive. I am using the cd burning software that came with the burner.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Windows 2000 does not have a native CD burner. You must
launch your CD burner software in order to burn CDs.

However . . . some CD software comes with a package that
allows you to treat a CD as if it were a floppy disk. The buzz
words are "In-CD" and "Direct CD" for the most popular
packages. Read your CD software manual to find out what
you have and how to use it.
