save a doument that has not been modified

I am asked to save a document that has not been modified. Even a new unedited
new book1 file asks if I want to save?
 
This often happens if there are any functions in the worksheet that would
force a recalculation, such as =TODAY().
 
Cheers bob, but I can open a new document with no entries and I still get
asked to save on exit?
