Saw the snow covered Wolds on saturday as I was taking me mum to the shops so we detoured (it was only 15 miles) and went for a walk in the snow . It was all gone by sunday . Pics were approaching Garowby Hill , on the top and looking down and towards York and slightly south . If you look closely on the last pic , on the skyline to the right of the snowman you can just make out Drax and Ferrybridge power stations . You will have to zoom in real close to see both though as its only a 3 mega pixle Cannon and they are 25 to 30 miles away .

They are lovely pics AB, that scenery is pretty breathtaking. Were you the creator of the snowman? Very interesting touch to give him/her a shopping bag  bet it gave the farmer a surprise too. Must have been a very enjoyable detour :D

Very nice Abarbarian! I like the way the snowman is facing the sunset :)

No did not build the snowperson . Doubt if farmer was suprised as its one of the best toboganing sites around York . The snow was much thicker on the tops six inches to over a foot deep
with lots of good places to tobogan . Loads of folk stop here at the edge for the views though .

:D
