SATA150 Hard drive in a SATA 3.0Gb/s port

I wasn't quite sure if I could connect a SATA150 hard drive into a SATA 3.0Gb/s port. I was wondering if anyone here could shine some light upon this topic for me. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are "backwards" compatible ... though you will not get the benefit of the faster transfer rate.

Disclaimer ... the word "compatibility" does not exist in the terminology language when used with computers.

Though to be honest, with mechanical drives the difference is pretty fractional anyway :)
