SATA question:

If I buy a PCI sata controller card (I want a new HD), is there any boot/DOS
issues I need to address and "Maybe" have to stick to IDE drives.
 
Hi

Likely not, as the controller card's bios will take care of the
communications with the sata drives. This would not interfere with the
existing boot setup.
