sata hard drive not reading

I hae had windows xp for quite some time
I am also an experienced windows / computer trobleshooter

this is quite troblesome

i have had a sata hard drive wd2500jb running on ali raid card
recently after my mother was installing things
my 250 isnt read by windows
the bios and raid card is reading it and windows does not show it in disk
management
i was wondering if anyone had some help or advice they might see helpful

i could use it one of few things that i havent figured out in this computer

sorry i forgot to add that windows device manager is reading it as working
properly and the only fuction i can' understand is why it doesnt show up in
my computer or disk management

i reloaded the driver just in case and it did nothing

still contimplating
