Hi,

I just bought a DVD RW Drive and it is a serial ATA version. However my motherboard has the usual 40 pin ide ports.

Is there anything I can do to make these compatible?

Thanks

Not really matt sorry, you could buy a serial ata adapter card but they're quite expensive. If i were you unless you're planning a motherboard upgrade soon, i'd check the advertising of the place where u bought it from to check you wern't the victim of false advertising. Phone them up and explain the problem hopefully they'll be sympathetic towards you. Apart from that you could always try selling it on this site :p
