hi

if a motherboard only has sata 1 on it
and the harddrive is a sata 2 one
would the harddrive work on that motherboard?

Am I correct in assuming that is would work but the speeds would be sata 1 speeds?

are both connectors the same or different in physical terms?

thanks for help

thanks Abarbarian but I don't like Hitachi I have heard so many complaints about them

atm i would only go for seagate if i had to
or definietly samsung for sure
that is a shame Michael that they only go up to 500
750gb would be brilliant for me
ill have to ring them to tell them to sort themselves out

I know you can get 750GB SATA from Seagate because we have them in our latest graphic design PCs we got last week (next question will be where from, well it was NSYS, but I dont think they sell components separately, just computers). But if they can get hold of them others must be selling them?
