sasser worm

I have a question. I have downloaded the patch but the
worm is still in my system and when I try to use my cd
driver it shuts down my computer... Can anyone tell what
else I need to do to fix this problem

Read Jerry Bryant's message below "Sasser patching &
removal instructions"

Make sure to unplug yourself from the LAN/WAN when doing
so, otherwise Sasser will just find you again. Crank up a
firewall if you haven't, or get an inexpensive D-Link or
Linksys router/firewall to block the worm (and all others
as well).
